Road 68 getting a face lift
PASCO -- The troubles on road 68 are set for improvement. Pasco is hosting an open house to keep you up-to-date on plans to make the road safer. This includes raised medians between Burden Boulevard and Sandifur Parkway.

Wireless signals will also be improved. Neither of these should require a big traffic inconvenience while the work is done. Driver Ted McCleary notes rush hour on Road-68 is the worst:

"For emergency vehicles getting through here, it's probably a nightmare for them. with the excess traffic and that, because a lot of people are just totally ignorant of what's going on around them and they're not paying attention. that can cost somebody their life," he says.

Pasco will spend more than a million in federal grant money to make the changes.
