Richland schools prepare for more kids
RICHLAND, Wash. - Overcrowding continues to be an issue for Richland schools.

The district already approved plans to bring portables to White Bluffs Elementary.

The school board has yet to decide on whether enrollment will be capped. The school is at its limits, serving more than 800 students.

It's why two portables will be brought in.

Re-districting is also planned for some areas which worries parents.

Parmgit Singh said, "That's why we like to live in this area because there is an elementary close by. My kids can walk there. I don't want my kids to go far."

A school bond is helping build a new elementary school in south Richland to relieve the strain on current schools.

More re-districting will need to happen when that's ready to open.
