Richland looking to update street lights
RICHLAND, Wash. - Richland is looking to replace aging street lights with modern, money-saving technology.

LED lights will go into a development near Badger Mountain South.

The 200 thousand dollar project will be a pilot project. If it works, Richland may consider adding more.

Energy Services Director Bob Hammond tells KEPR, "Pilots will give us a real on the ground opportunity to let citizens see what the lighting changes would be and whether they like it or not."

Richland hopes to take your feedback after the lights go in.

Kennewick recently added induction lights all over the city.
