KENNEWICK, Wash. - Report it dot com is a personal database for people living in Kennewick.
It's a place to document serial numbers and upload pictures of all your property, valuable or not.
Police can access that information if there's ever a theft.
It's a good start for the recovery process, though some say they won't bother.
Adian Aguilar said, "Not worth the effort. Just a waste of the police's time and our time together. My cell phone's been robbed. I've gone down to the store and replaced it for free. I didn't have to go to the police or anything. I do it myself."
Police hope you won't have that mindset. They say 90 percent of theft victims don't have a full description of their property making it hard to get your things back.
