Progress in Kennewick building really taking shape
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Development in the Southridge area is starting to take shape. Work on a large apartment complex is nearly done. Over 300 units will be available.

The newest street in the area is Plaza Way. It's now connected to Highway 395. Final paving and striping has to be done before traffic can flow. The street is set to open by the end of the year.

Plans for connecting Steptoe to the other side of Kennewick are moving forward. Dirt has been carved where the street will soon be.

Crews are concentrating construction near the railroad tracks building support for the bridge.

The Steptoe extension is set to open by early spring.
