Pride Week wraps up in Richland
RICHLAND, Wash. -- A record number of people flocked to this weekend's gay pride festival in Richland.

As many as three thousand people showed up. Organizers tell us the event grows every year it's held. People at the pride event say there's much more to it than simply promoting gay rights.

"You can really tell looking at all the different booths, because it's not just about gay rights. There's anti-domestic violence booth over there, there an anti-death penalty booth over there. There's some political activism over here," says Kaylee Helton.

The event featured live music, local food vendors, and activities for kids. Organizers plan on having an even bigger pride week next year.
