Prayer walk brings awareness
TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- You might have seen a prayer walk marching through the Tri-Cities today. A handful of activists from all over the state were here for the event.

A group of monks from the west side and several other walkers set off from Highway-395 this morning. The walks were not protests. They were aimed at bringing attention to the threat of new-clear waste and new-clear weapons.

"All life is sacred. that's why we walk with catholic workers, Lutherans, Tibetan monks, Thai monks, and conscientious protectors," says Monk Gilberto Perez.

The group walked from 395 down Clearwater to Columbia Center -- and then from John Dam Plaza to the Hanford 300 Area Gate.
