Pasco city and schools working together on 5 acre park
PASCO, Wash. -- Pasco Schools are working with the city to put a new park in place. There's only been a handful of similar projects in the past 20 years. A five acre park would be built at Road 60 and Three Rivers Drive.

That's where the new Pasco elementary school is going in. The project will cost slightly more than if the city had built it on its own -- but Pasco calls it a win-win by using special architectural services including safety inspections by working with the school.

"I'm really excited cause it's just right here, we can walk right over to it and it will bring good value to our area," said Renee Peralta, who lives near by.

The park is estimated to cost close to $300,000.
