PASCO, Wash. -- The Pasco Police Department welcomed a new police dog today. The costs surrounding he K-9 officer were donated by HAPO Credit Union. So, appropriately, the dog is named HAPO.

Fellow officers are excited.

"From a personal stand point, to know the police K-9 unit is out in the field for us helping protect the community is a great benefit," says Ken Roske of the Pasco Police.

HAPO was trained in Germany and sent to Pasco. The whole process cost around 12-thousand dollars. HAPO should be in the field next week.
