New ER sees more patients than anticipated
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The new state-of-the-art facility on 395 opened earlier this year and droves of people have already been through the doors.

Officials say they're seeing volumes they didn't expect until their third year of operation.

"We measure by the day and we're averaging about 50 patients a day and total volume when we combine both ERs, we're probably over 1000 patients more than what we were seeing last year at this time on the main campus," says ER Manager Carla May.

Kadlec aims to have patients in and out in less than 90 minutes. Managers are pleased with the E-R's success.

95-percent of patients who have used the new ER rate the service as excellent.
