Miniature airplanes come to Horn Rapids
HORN RAPIDS, Wash. -- If you're looking for some free high-flying entertainment this weekend, look no further than the Warbirds over Washington event.

The weekend-long remote control airplane convention will feature vintage military planes. But these aren't your run-of-the-mill RC planes.

Many of the gas-powered birds have wing-spans over five feet. Organizers say it's a great event for first-timers, or if you're just curious.

"We enjoy having people come out. introduce new people to the hobby and there's all different aspect that you can get into and you can see a little bit of everything through out the weekend," says Clark Hymas.

The event is going on all weekend at Horn Rapids Park at the miniature aircraft park. Pilots will practice stunts and put on an air show.
