Local church group leaves for Kenya to help orphans
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A group from a local church is going to help orphans in Kenya. Fourteen people from the South Hills Church in Kennewick left today for their trip.

Some of them have been before, but for others it will be their first time. They are staying right with orphans in their dormitory. They hope to help with building projects like expanding the dorm and building a medical clinic.

"Lots of kids that need lots of love, we're going to encourage the workers that are there, that can be pretty overwhelming taking care of 139 little children, most of the kids are under the age of eight," said Pastor Phil Paulson.

The group from South Hills will be in Kenya for two and a half weeks.
