January unemployment hits new low
TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- The unemployment rate for the Tri-Cities is down for the month of January. It has fallen to the lowest rate in three years: 9.2 percent.

Economists expect the rate to improve once cherry harvesting kicks in and both residential and commercial building start up for the season. They expect up to 13,000 jobs to be added, until a slowdown in September.
