Former Pasco wrestling coach facing sex crime charges
PASCO, Wash. -- A former Pasco High School wrestling coach is now facing sex crime charges. The school district says Sheridan McDonald was fired two months ago.

Court papers say McDonald kissed the victim and touched her inappropriately. Investigators say text messages show there was a romantic relationship going on between the 15-year-old student and 21-year-old coach. A former Pasco High parent was unsettled by the news.

"Our children did go through Pasco High, and we do have to protect our children, and if there was some inappropriate conduct that took place, then there needs to be something that takes place, needs to be some charges filed," said Rick Cook.

McDonald graduated from Ki-Be High. She was Washington's first four-time girls' wrestling state champion in 2011.
