Former Mayor Pro-Tem closer to plea deal
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. -- A former Connell city leader is considering a plea deal on theft charges.

Monica Pruett was the Mayor Pro Tem when she was first accused of ripping off a farm she worked for.

The state says Pruett is working toward fulfilling the requirements to settle the case.

She's accused of stealing $160,000 while handling the books for D & S Farms.

Pruett faces theft and money laundering charges with aggravated circumstances.
