FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - KEPR took your concern to the department of transportation. We learned plans are in motion to make that entire stretch of road safer.
Now that the bridge and roadwork on the highway is done it can make it harder for large trucks to take get a break in traffic for a left turn.
The new change would add a clover-leaf interchange at both Tank Farms Road and "A" Street completely eliminating the need for turns.
New local roads would also ease traffic.
Moe Davari, engineer for the department of transportation, told us, "We're pretty much done with our study. We know what the solution would be but now, of course, we need the money."
The money needed is a whopping 25 million dollars.
In the meantime, the left turn lanes could be extended.
