BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- The Benton County fire department got a call around 5:30 to head to Finley Road.

A lightning strike started this blaze..and with the winds kicking quickly spread to ten acres or more. But no quicker had the fire started..than the skies opened up..and Mother Nature gave the firefighters a big hand with a downpour.

"If it hadn't rained and that wind squall came through here and picked up...who knows where it would have gone to...yeah the rain saved us on this one, absolutely," said Benton County Fire Captain, Devin Helland

It took about an hour after the rain let up for the crews to mop up the operation.
