KENNEWICK -- Crews from the Kennewick and Pasco fire departments gathered at an old house near the Cable Bridge this afternoon.

The focus of the joint training was to practice scenarios involving a down fire fighter in an emergency situation. Those running the exercises we pleased with the work.

"Crews did real well today and that's why we drill. If we can train daily or annually, it makes the emergency that much easier," says Acting Chief Chris Hutsell of the Kennewick Fire Department.

The house where the crews trained in is owned by the Port of Kennewick and is set for demolition. Fire crews with all major emergency and law enforcement agencies train regularly.
