Ceremony to honor fallen service members
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. -- The bad weather didn't stop a ceremony to honor fallen service members today at Flat Top Park in West Richland.

Family and friends of nearly 70 military members came together in honor of their loved ones. The service members were a part of either the Washington, Oregon, or Idaho military. They died fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"It just means so much that so many people will take time out of their day to show up to honor them and honor us, and it makes you understand that people understand your pain and your grief and that you're not all alone," said Sheryle Martin.

Martin lost her son 15 months ago.

Today was the seventh time for this annual remembrance ceremony.
