Burglaries in Pasco up slightly
PASCO - The KEPR Crime Tracker is taking a closer look at burglaries in Pasco.

The crime was on the rise last year. There were 437-burglaries of homes and businesses in Pasco in 2012. Compare that to 370 the year before.

Officials are confident these numbers represent normal fluctuations.

A woman we talked to doesn't feel threatened.

"I feel safe, but I do worry. You know, with the economy, with everything going on, I think there's going to be more burglaries," said Mavis Burnett.

So far this year there have been 89-burglaries reported.

That's pacing slightly higher than the monthly average for last year.

Police recommend you lock your doors to prevent becoming a victim.
