Autopsies complete on two children found dead in their home
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- KEPR is continuing to follow the tragedy in Hansen Park where the bodies of two children were discovered by their father.

The Kennewick Police Department had planned on holding a press conference Wednesday afternoon releasing autopsy results on 16-year old Kaitlin Austin and her 12-year old stepbrother Ethan.

But KPD tells us that won't be happening until Thursday. The police say Andrew Austin found his children Monday evening when he returned home around 5PM.

There were multiple gun shot wounds and a handgun was found near the bodies. The police have said it's too early to call this a murder-suicide but repeated again Wednesday that they are not looking for any suspects.

"At this point, there is no evidence that would lead us to believe that there is a suspect killer on the loose or still outstanding. Now the case is not closed by any means. New information could certainly come forward and if somebody has information, we'd certainly like to hear about it. There is nothing at this point that would lead us in that direction," said Kennewick Police Sgt. Ken Lattin.
