BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Action News is continuing to cover the controversy over a Richland florist who refused to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding.

All parties were back in a Benton County courtroom today.

There are actually three cases here. The state is suing Arlene's. The gay couple is suing Arlene's and Arlene's is suing the state.

The judge ruled the cases will all move on and will not be combined.

Todd Bowers, senior counsel for the Attorney General's office said, "We're fine consolidating the case for discovery but we have real concerns about consolidating the two cases for trial so we just asked the judge to make any decisions on that now. We don't need to make a decision on that now."

The judge reminded the state's attorney general that the state still has to follow the law.

The AG's office had missed a deadline for filing a consumer protection suit and filed a second suit to cover its bases.
