Air Race Classic stalled
PASCO -- The departure of the Air Race Classic was delayed a bit because of the bad weather. The race features only female pilots. They were worried the small aircraft would be at risk over the mountains in these conditions.

"If you get 40 planes bunched up at the mountain, all trying to get over the same little pass at the same time, it gets to be a bit dicey," says racer Debi Dreyfuss.

Pilots were eventually able to take off, but officials made the second stop of the race the official start. Pilots were allowed to fly around the bad weather and the race will officially begin tomorrow in Utah.
