Accused killer, Grant Scantling, faces a judge
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Grant Scantling fled the area shortly after the shooting.

He was arrested after a standoff in Spokane.

Court documents paint a better idea of what happened Friday morning.

Police believe Scantling broke into the home on East Eight Place and shot Frank Palmer.

The woman who also lived there has two kids with Scantling and was planning to move to the Midwest the day of the shooting.

Palmer had been staying at the home as well.

Scantling is being held on $1 million dollars bail.
