Accused accomplice to murder not off the hook

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - Todd Stuart is charged with attempted murder in the death of Judy Hebert.
A judge ruled that statements Stuart made to police will *not be allowed in court because he had requested an attorney at the time he made the remarks. Those statements are crucial to the prosecutor's case.
Franklin County Prosecutor Shawn Sant tells KEPR he will still fight to get those statement allowed in the the trial.
A judge already ruled that comments made by Todd's estranged wife will be allowed. Tashia Stuart is accused of murdering her mother at their home in West Pasco last year.
Hearsay comments from the deceased will also be allowed during trial.
