Plane Crash Kills Dad and SonBy Lena Vargas
The coroner confirms a five year old girl survived the initial crash of a small Cessna airplane this afternoon-- just east of Rimrock Lake and near the Tieton Air Strip.
Her dad and brother did not survive. Officials at the scene did not allows us in closer to the crash, but we did get lots more information in the last few hours. They have now identified the pilot as 37-year-old Justin Reed-- and his son who died as 13-year-old Terrin Reed. A sheriff's deputy says they were riding in the front of the plane-- while the five year old was riding in the back. At last check, the five year old girl was transferred to Harborview Medical in Seattle with multiple broken bones-- and a possible injury near one of her eyes. NTSB and the FAA will arrive on the scene some time Monday. In the last two years, Action News has reported on at least three other plane crashes in the Rim Rock area. |
