WWT: God Gets Sued

WWT: God Gets Sued

By Mike Crispino

God has responded to the lawsuit filed against Him in Nebraska and He seems to have a sound legal strategy.

State Senator Ernie Chambers sued God to make Him stop floods, earthquakes, and acts of terrorism.

Chambers said he was trying to prove a point that you can sue anyone, even God.

The Almighty was quick to answer.

A one-page document mysteriously turned up at the Douglas County Courthouse marked "Special Appearance" and is signed at the bottom by God.

He says the lawsuit should be thrown out because He wasn't served a summons by a deputy and defense attorneys agree that God has a good case.

The document says Chambers will pay for his lawsuit, but it's vague on what that means. In the meantime, no court date has been set to hear the lawsuit.

Martin Vaal Lopez made a plea and went home to his family. He was once accused of killing a Pasco woman. But now, he served less than 2 years, and went home to his own wife and kids. Do you think this is justice?
