Ken's E-mails: I'm a selfish misfit?
By Ken Schram
SEATTLE -- Some called me a selfish misfit.
Others said I was out to destroy society as a progressive secularist. That's just a sampling of the criticism I got for saying I didn't think the woman who didn't spend money that wasn't hers did not deserve a reward. Joe Voelker writes: "I'm sure it's quite easy for someone with a secure job and a cushioned bank account to babble...(over) whether...an honest person in today's world should (get) a reward..." Esther Willup: "Ken, you're a hard-hearted grumpy old man! Can't you see that there's nothing wrong...with acknowledging that she did the right thing? Of course she deserves a reward." Wayne Smith: "If she hadn't pointed out the problem, it might (have happened again)...I wonder if any (other)...whistleblowers...didn't deserve a reward either." Walt Rissler: "I know it's hard for someone (like you) who wants to destroy our society to understand a good, moral religious person like this lady, so you have to find an indirect way to insult her." And finally from Judy Antassi: "I like you better when you go after the likes of Tim Eyman." Glad to oblige Judy: No way, no how does he deserve a reward for anything. Thanks for writing everyone.
