Lindsey admits it, it’s been a bit of a challenge to adjust to the vampire-like schedule of being a morning anchor; but she loves a challenge, and is thrilled to be a part of the Action News Morning Team!
Lindsey started her broadcasting career at KCWY in Wyoming, after graduating with a Master of Arts degree from San Francisco State’s Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts program. In 2011, Lindsey earned an award for Best Reporter by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.
As the Fremont County bureau reporter, she independently covered the entire western half of the state. Her reporting history includes national news stories such as a Burlington Northern freight train derailment in the Wind River Canyon, Flooding in Fremont County (declared a disaster area by President Obama), and the President's initiative to reduce crime on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
Lindsey grew up in Murrieta, California. She attended the University of California, Riverside, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Nonfiction Creative Writing. While at UCR, she was inspired to become a broadcast journalist after her dad told her to (this was after she played the role of a rebellious drama-queen in an Asian-Pacific Islander cultural play, since Lindsey is half-Japanese).
She’s thrilled to be back on the West Coast after spending winters in Wyoming!
