Woman arrested for bookstore heist
KENNEWICK, Wash -- A 60-year old Kennewick woman is under arrest after police say she stole hundreds of dollars of merchandise from one Tri-Cities book store and tried to sell it to another.

About 8:15 Monday night, officers say Maria Esquivel entered the Barnes and Noble at Columbia Center Mall and stole 50 audio books, putting them in Barnes and Noble bags she brought in with her. The books are worth more than $1200.

Less than two hours later, the woman allegedly tried to sell them at Hastings in Richland. Employees called police and the Richland PD arrested the woman for trafficking stolen property.
