Walla Walla Schools eye new bond

Walla Walla Schools eye new bond
WALLA WALLA, Wash. - KEPR learned Walla Walla is looking to put a new school bond on the ballot as soon as February.

You'll remember the last bond issue failed. It was worth 48-million.

Now Walla Walla is looking to ask for smaller amounts to do one project at a time. Walla Walla High needs a major overhaul.

Teachers and students are making do until some money comes through.

School board president Anne Golden said, "That's not right, that, just getting by. We need to make sure those kids have the best education they can get and in science obviously but I thought the teacher rather than complain was on the positive side."

The board will be making bond recommendations in the next few weeks.
