Vets memorial in West Richland vandalized again
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. - For the second time this year, the veterans memorial at Flat Top Park in West Richland was vandalized. The military boots on the display were kicked off the pedestal.

Members of Combat Veterans International just fixed previous damage. The refurbished memorial was just dedicated on the 4th of July.

It was torn apart back in February, costing thousands to fix. The organization doesn't have the money to put the boots back up.

They're hoping to raise money for repairs and a security system.

Combat Veterans International chapter 3 president, Paul "Pablo" Lamm said, "If we could catch the person or persons, I would love for their community service or whatever they do to assist us in helping other vets."

West Richland agreed to help the group find ways to protect the structure when it gets fixed.
