BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - The trial for the man accused of the rape and murder of a 9-month-old baby has been put off until spring.

Jose Aguilar faces second degree murder and rape of a child.

His attorney wanted to put off his trial until next summer, allowing more time to interview witnesses in California and gather evidence.

Prosecutor Andy Miller doesn't want put off the trial and the judge agreed. He set a trial date for March of next year.
