Murder suspect from Federal Way caught in Kennewick
KENNEWICK POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE -- The Kennewick and Richland Police Departments, and the Benton County Sheriff's Office assisted the Tri-City Regional SWAT team, US Marshals & Federal Way PD in the apprehension of BERNARD BELLEROUCHE-27 of Federal Way reference a Murder 1st Degree and Department of Corrections Warrant.

BELLEROUCHE surrendered without incident, minutes after the SWAT team arrived and surrounded the duplex.

BELLEROUCHE is considered a person of interest in the homicide/shooting that occurred in Federal Way on May 13, 2014 and the Assault with a Firearm that occurred in Des Moines, WA on May 12, 2014.

Several other subjects that were in the 3606 W. 7th Ave # A address were also detained and are being interviewed.
BELLEROUCHE will be booked into Benton County Jail.

FEDERAL WAY POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE -- On May 7, 2014 at 9:28 pm, Federal Way Police officers responded to a complaint of an illegal discharge of a firearm in the 27600 block of Pacific Highway S. While officers were driving to the scene other caller(s) reported that a person had been shot and was “down” on the ground. Officers and medics arrived to find the victim in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The male victim succumbed to his injuries prior to being transported by Medics.

Pursuant to these crimes, Federal Way Detectives, working continuously with multiple agencies including the King County Prosecutors Most Dangerous Offender Program (MDOP), located and interviewed numerous witnesses in these cases. Subsequent information has revealed that a suspect named Bernard Bellerouche, DOB-08/11/1986, shot the victim on 05/07/14. Suspect Bellerouche is now wanted for this crime and is considered armed and dangerous.

On 05/13/14, Federal Way Detectives along with members of the Valley Swat team served a search warrant in the 27800 block of Pacific Hwy S., the last known address of suspect Bellerouche. Unfortunately Bellerouche was not located.

On 5/24/14 at approximately 4:00 PM, BERNARD BELLEROUCHE was taken into custody without incident in Kennewick, WA. The arrest and search warrant was a joint operation of the US Marshals, Federal Way Police Detectives and Kennewick Police Department. BELLEROUCHE will be booked into Benton County Jail.

BELLEROUCHE is still considered a person of interest in the homicide/shooting that occurred in Federal Way on May 13, 2014 and the Assault with a Firearm that occurred in Des Moines, WA on May 12, 2014.
