Kennewick votes to permanently ban marijuana businesses
KENNEWICK, Wash -- The city of Kennewick says no to recreational marijuana. According to the Tri-City Herald, the city council voted Tuesday night to permanently ban all pot related business.

The new ban replaces a temporary moratorium that was set to expire on October 15th. People in favor of the ban reportedly cited negative health affects of smoking pot, and that allowing pot businesses could result in easier access for children.

Pasco has already enacted a similar ban. Richland and West Richland are considering marijuana bans.
