PASCO, Wash. - The roof of the Liberty theatre building caught fire last summer, part of it had to be torn down.

The owner said he would rebuild but then sold the property.

Nicolas Zavala owns it now and plans to open an indoor mall. An insurance agency will take up one part. Retail shops will be on the second floor.

For him, building up downtown Pasco was a natural choice.

He said, "Most of my customers are already from Pasco so i want to be closer to them and be of service to them. I see a lot of potential with this building. it has a lot of space, beautiful, its tall and it has a lot of potential for us."

The building is set to open for business on fourth avenue within a month.
