BURBANK, Wash. - Slick roads are to blame for a car crash on SR-124 in Burbank Tuesday morning. Three people went to the hospital after slamming into a utility pole.

The road was closed for about an hour as crews secured the scene at SR-124 and Sun Harbor. They had to make sure the wires weren't live before cars could pass.

Everyone made it out of the car on their own and were lucky the pole didn't fall directly onto the vehicle.

Chief Mike Wickstrom, Walla Walla District 5 said, "We were very nervous. It's a very dangerous situation for every body involved. We were very pleased to find out it wasn't as bad."

Roads were also slick north of the Tri-Cities leading to a school delay in Othello.
