PASCO, Wash. -- The BNSF Holiday Express took off from Pasco. It's a special train ride for military personnel and their families.

The train traveled to Yakima and back. 350 personnel and their families enjoyed treats, holiday music, and Santa Claus on their ride. This is the sixth year BNSF has put this ride on. They choose a different city each year. BSNF has donated a half million dollars to local charities that support the military.

Gus Melonas with BNSF said, "It's a way to say thank you to the military personnel for everything they do for all of us every day."

In the six years operating, 35,000 military families have been aboard.
