KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The two people looking to lead Ben-Franklin Transit were in town Wednesday. They took questions from you on how they'd improve the transit system.

Dozens packed the Three Rivers Transit Center for an afternoon open house.

Bill Forsythe and Dennis Solensky were the top candidates from dozens who applied.

Each brings years of experience in running a transit system. Both are focused on improving what we have.

Bill Forsythe said, "Make transit more attractive. There's some interesting promotions. Do some interesting things to bring people in and fill the seats.

His competition, Dennis Solensky said, "There's partnerships that you can grow in the local community to find alternative funding sources."

BFT is expected to make an offer to one of the candidates in the next week.
